Colorbar Bare Lipstick: The color
Bare by Colorbar is a nude (i like saying it like this :Noooooood-dah) with a peachy undertone. Its not a true peach-nude, because there is definitely a subtle hint of rosey pink when this lipstick is applied to the lips, but for the most part this is one of those lovely colors that look like the color of toffee to me : Warm rosey brown! The reason i love this lipstick so much is because how great it looks on everyone- if you are dusky then bare is that perfect nude lipstick for you that wont wash you out, and if you are lighter then this is a lovely rosey sort of everyday natural color. If it were upto me i would go an distribute this to all indian girls : Here a bare, there a bare, everywhere a bare bare!
Colorbar lipsticks in General
Colorbar Velvet Matte Lipsticks are some of the best budget matte lipsticks around. They are pigmented, decently creamy for a matt lipstick and have a very very long staying power. They might not have the glide and slip of high end lipsticks, but they have a good texture that doesnt give problem on application.They easily last about 8 hours on me even with eating, and they leave a nice tint on your lips even as they fade. Given that these are matte lipsticks, they perform really well on the moisture front too. While i wouldn’t call these moisturizing, they are definitely not drying either- which is something that matte lipsticks generally have a problem with. I don’t particularly love the slightly cheap looking packaging, but given how affordable these are they are definitely bang for your buck material!

Recommendation: I love Colorbar Velvet Matte Bare ! A pretty rosey, peachy brown-Totally totally recommended to darker girls in the search of a nude lipstick and to lighter girls in search of an ‘au-natural’ shade. “Bare” with me for the pun but everyone needs a bare, it costs ‘bare’ly anything too!

I’ve been dying to get this since Cynthia reviewed it and now even more ! My only worry is that it will wash me out like Frappicino does. I want Frappicino to stop doing that to me. But it won’t. How do lopcolors havw the power to make one so sad . Lol.
I guess I should get bare and see how it works ? Should I Mehak ? How would you compare it to Frappicino in terms of color ?
If Frappucino washes you out, you should go for Bare!!!
Bare wont wash you out, atleast i dont think it will..Frapp is more like light peachy, this is more pinky- brown kind of….

It looks bright pink on me. I so wanted it to be a nude..:( Everything from colorbar matte looks pink on me. I love the staying power but they just don’t have nudes or corals/oranges that don’t look pink on me. It’s so strange! Even with lip liner..still pink. Will just have to get pinks and reds from this range.

Yes, I tried Bare and Blushing Brunette on my lips and BB is only just a tad brighter than Bare. Even Over the top looks very, very pink on me…barely any peachy or coral tones to it when on the lips. This never happens with other brand lippies..so frustrating because I just adore the amazing staying power.
